Community Speed Checks at Shaw Lodge Mills

PCSO 693 Calkeld and Community Warden Cato recently attended Shaw Lodge Mills to carry out speed monitoring checks following reports of speeding vehicles and obstructive parking in the area.

For over a year, PCSO Calkeld has been working closely with Hebble Harlequins to help improve safety for children, club members, and the wider community using the site. This ongoing partnership aims to ensure that everyone can access and enjoy the area safely.

As part of this work, requests have been submitted to Calderdale Council for the restoration of double yellow lines and the installation of additional signage to remind motorists of speed limits and the presence of children crossing. We are currently awaiting completion of these improvements.

We will continue to carry out regular patrols and engagement in the area to support the safety of all those who use Shaw Lodge Mills.
